A Little Sole Power…Can you dig it?

If you really want to get down with the Italian Funk, then hop a ride to Calabria baby, its got the Soul! All jokes aside, we are highlighting the spicy, full bodied flavors of southern Italy in at the Salumeria this week. All of the items utilize some of the traditional elements commonly found in Calabrian Cuisine. Needless to say there is plenty of spice to go around. Calabria was first settled by Oenotri tribes, who were known for their ability to cultivate the vines. History has changed the essence of Calabrian pride very little, and the landscape as diverse and fertle as it once was to those early ancient settlers, provides a cornucopia of sustainable vegetative growth. With hilly terrain, Olive production remains the single highest produced product in Calabria. Our menu utilizes both our own Tuscan influence, wrapped in Southern flavor.

Come down to the Salumeria and taste this special menu. In these hard economic times, why spend money on a plane ticket? Come to the spot Time Out NY awarded the “Best Ticket to Italy” of 2009. So for $2, you can taste Calabria. Hope to see you at the Salumeria.

Ci Vediamo,
